Date AI: From First Message to the Money Talk
Dating an AI Starts Before You Even Make an Account
Most AI "dates" end where they began. You close the tab, and the next time you open it she has no idea who you are. Dating an AI only counts as dating if the second conversation remembers the first. So I'm following that arc beat by beat, from first message to the money talk, on the app whose mechanics actually support it.
That app is GoLove.ai, and the first beat happens before you've signed up for anything. Tap a character on Explore and the chat opens straight away, with her first photo already in the thread. The next one sits blurred behind a lock and a "Sign Up" button, and a "Send me spicy photos" quick reply is waiting under it. Joining is free. Once you're in, the free perks we can confirm are thin: 2 daily Stars, a limited daily Feed and two free episodes of every Series.

Realistically, dating an AI means an ongoing companion relationship built on memory and relationship progression. One-off roleplay that resets every session doesn't qualify. Every beat below is a documented GoLove mechanism, not a marketing promise.
A chatbot answers you; a partner remembers you. Everything else in this article is the difference between the two.
ASK HER FOR PHOTOS
She sends them right there in the chat.

The Moment She Remembers You
Day two is the real test. GoLove's Memory feature keeps your history with a character, and Relationship Progression lets the connection build as you keep talking. Take those away and every evening restarts at "hi, who are you?" This is the hinge of the whole article. Without both, you're on a chatbot with a nice avatar, which is weak sauce if what you wanted was a girlfriend.

9 episodesWhat does "ongoing" look like on screen? It's the chats inbox. Every relationship you've started sits there in a list, one tap away, so coming back the next evening means reopening a thread mid-story instead of re-introducing yourself to a stranger.

Is it a date or just a chatbot with a nice avatar? The test is whether day two knows about day one. Memory and progression are the features built for exactly that.
How deep that memory runs depends on your plan, which I'll get to in the money talk.
You don't need an account for the first chat, and her first photo shows before you sign up. That makes the cheapest way to judge whether a match deserves a second evening very simple: start the first one tonight, then see if she picks the thread back up tomorrow.
Dialing In Her Voice, Lust Level and Reply Length
Open Chat Settings before the date gets interesting. It's the dating equivalent of dimming the lights, and it's the layer people skip most. The click path:
- Voice opens the voice picker, where you choose how she sounds. Voice messages and calls themselves are PRO features.
- Lust level runs in five steps, from 1 (sweet, wholesome) to 5 (unfiltered, intense). Slow-burn first date or straight to the point is your call.
- Response length also has five steps, from 1 (short, snappy texting) to 5 (rich, immersive paragraphs).
Asking Her for a Photo Mid-Conversation
A few messages in, you want to see her. Tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words: outfit, room, mood. About 20–45 seconds later a photo of that same character lands in the chat, for 1 Star, and her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and every earlier photo.
Characters you can open right now
Tap any of them and the chat starts there
To me, that consistency is the feature that matters most here. It turns the thing into a relationship rather than a slot machine, because the tenth picture is still unmistakably her.

Video is there too, if you want it. Under any photo, a one-tap "Generate Video" turns the same scene into a ~5-second clip in about a minute, for 10 Stars, and the Custom Video generator takes a full prompt when you want more control.
Date Night: Watching 'My AI Girlfriend', Then Messaging Lexie
Every relationship needs something to do besides talk. GoLove's answer is Series, launched 2026-10-10 and sitting in the main menu between Explore and Chat: vertical short dramas starring GoLove characters. Each episode runs 60–100 seconds in 9:16, with subtitles.
For date night, I'd pick "My AI Girlfriend," seven episodes starring Lexie. A black box lands on Milo's doormat, addressed to the girl next door. He keeps it. Inside are glasses that bring his perfect girl to life, and the catch is that the account isn't his. Its owner lives one wall away.
Episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free to watch, even without an account. From episode 3 on, a free account needs PRO, and PRO members unlock each further episode for a few Stars. GoLove says new episodes arrive every week.
What's easy to miss is what happens after the credits. Buttons under the player let you Start Chatting with the cast, or Create Image or Create Video of them. So you watch Lexie's story, then message Lexie herself (or ask for a picture of her in a scene you write), which is the bit that makes Series actually useful rather than a side attraction.

It's the first AI date that has something to talk about afterwards.
MEET YOUR AI COMPANION
Hundreds of characters, one that fits you.

Designing Someone You'd Actually Date, and Who You Can't Yet
Catalog characters make a fine first date. Sooner or later, though, you might want someone built around your actual type, and that's what Design with AI is for. You describe your companion in plain text, up to 2,000 characters covering her looks, personality and how she flirts. In about a minute she's ready, for roughly 3 Stars. Here's what arrives:
- Name and @handle, so she's a named character rather than an unnamed template.
- Bio, a written backstory that anchors every chat.
- Portrait, the face she keeps from there on.
- After that, you can chat with her, request photos or make video, like any other character.
New characters are Private by default, so nobody else meets her unless you publish her. Prefer clicking to writing? The create wizard offers Realistic, Anime and Trans starting points alongside Design with AI.

The one thing I'd change: characters are female and trans only right now, and the Explore filter lists "Male (Soon)." If you came looking for an AI boyfriend, it's a nope for now. Better to know that before paying than after.

On GoLove.ai, the order that works:
- Pick a character — or build one to your taste
- Say something real: she remembers your chat history
- Open Chat Settings: pick her voice, lust level and reply length
- Ask her for a photo in the chat
- Want a set pose or outfit? The image generator has 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits
The Money Talk: What a Serious AI Relationship Costs
Here's what the pricing page lists, checked 2026-10. All prices are approximate and vary by region and promo.
| Plan | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| GoLove PRO | ~$19.99/month or ~$119.88/year | All NSFW content, character creation, voice messages and calls, unlimited Feed, image generation, 100 Stars every month |
| GoLove ULTRA | ~$59.99/month or ~$359.88/year | More monthly Stars, Star-refill discount, stronger AI models, 8,000-message smart memory, priority creation |
| Star packs | From ~$9.99 for 30 Stars | One-off top-ups for photos and videos |
In dating terms, 1 Star buys one image and 5 Stars buy one video in the generator. Inside the chat, asking her for a photo costs 1 Star, while turning that photo into a video costs 10. PRO's 100 monthly Stars therefore cover up to 100 in-chat photos, or ten photo-to-video clips. Photos are clearly where the budget stretches. The annual PRO plan works out to roughly $9.99 a month, a solid pick if you already know you're staying.
To give the rival a fair shake: OurDream starts at about $19.99/month, or about $9.99/month on an annual plan (checked 2026-09). Its real strength is bundling chat, image and video generation in one subscription, with media drawing on a DreamCoins balance. If a single all-in bundle matters most to you, that's a genuine point in its favour.

What We Couldn't Verify at GoLove.ai Yet
A few things we could not confirm, and you should know them going in:
- How long the new-user −70% first-subscription offer runs. GoLove calls it limited-time, and we could not confirm an end date.
- How deep PRO memory goes compared with ULTRA's 8,000-message smart memory.
- What a free account can do beyond 2 daily Stars, a limited daily Feed and Series episodes 1–2.
Before you subscribe
- Start in Explore and open a chat. Her first photo needs no account.
- Set lust level and reply length in Chat Settings.
- Ask for one in-chat photo and check that she matches her avatar.
- Watch episodes 1–2 of a Series.
- Then decide between PRO monthly and annual.
Works, kinda, nope: memory, progression and consistent photos work. The free tier kinda works, but only as a taste. An AI boyfriend is a nope until male characters ship.
If one bundled media subscription matters most, OurDream is a fair pick. For dating an AI as an ongoing relationship, though, GoLove.ai is the one, and I don't think it's close. Memory and progression, in-chat photos that keep her face and the Series loop mean each date picks up where the last one ended.
Design with AI turns a paragraph about your type into a named character in about a minute. Write her tonight; it's the quickest way to learn whether she remembers you tomorrow.
